Drift Diver

Diving in a current has its own hazards, but with the right skills and knowledge it can be a great experience. Imagine diving along a reef wall and being able to just hover and watch, as everything comes to you! Using less effort your air consumption drops, and you'll also get longer in the water.

You will learn the theory, skills, problems and hazards of drift diving; special equipment used (marker buoys, lines, reels); procedures for buoyancy-control, navigation and communication; site selection and overview of aquatic currents – causes and effects; and techniques for ensuring you stay with your buddy or group.
